The Day of Remembrance is a special service honoring those survivors who have lost loved ones to homicide. Our mission is to encourage everyone to work together to promote recovery and healing. The theme for September 2022 was You Are Not Forgotten. 

Holidays are tough times for those who have lost a loved one to homicide, suicide, or domestic violence. DCAEHS Inc. aims to lessen the burden for children who have lost a parent to homicide by providing toys and other gifts during the Christmas holidays. On December 21, 2022, we were able to serve several families in need. 

DCAEHS Inc. created the Library of Peace at The Covenant House for youth and young adults in Washington, D.C. as a means to inform and empower at-risk and at-need young people who may be unhoused and at-risk due to circumstances beyond their control.

Mothers who have lost a child to homicide endure complicated grief with a trajectory that spans years. DCAEHS Inc's community outreach program aims to assist these parents, especially mothers, through programs that initiate communication and healing. September, 2022 DCAEHS hosted an overnight getaway at Sandy Cove Resort in North East Maryland to promote healing and restoration for ten mothers who lost a child to homicide.
