NEW SERVICES UPDATED "2021"

Pastoral Care Chaplaincy Project: As of January 1, 2020 we implemented in the District of Columbia. We are recruiting cleric volunteers that are willing to serve. Application, background check, letter of commitment, letter of support, confidentiality statement and extensive trainings will be required. (All services on Teleconference or Zoom Link.

 

Volunteers Process and Requirements: Licenses or attended seminary. Recommendation Letters, from your Bishop, Pastor or Overseer, Community Organization or Agency. Police Clearance, Law Training with MPD, Justice Department, Cultural Sensitivity & Pastoral Spiritual Care Training and must be approved by DCAEHS, Inc., Board of Directors.

 

DC Alliance Victims Fund: How can you as a survivor take an active part in participating in an effort to help others? DCAEHS, Inc., is establishing a victims fund to assist those families that do not qualify for Crime Victims Assistance Program. This fund is only for a recipient that will be screen and must qualify to receive the minimum funding, if available for burial assistance only. Your contributions will be tax deductible.

 

DC Department of Corrections: DC Jail every 2nd Tuesday, 9:30am - 10:30am and every 4th Sunday from 11:30am - 12:30am and Holy Communion is served (Men). We provide a Curriculum on "Men Thriving for Destiny" & "Anger Management Classes". We are working with the "Purpose Driven Life" Since we started in 2015, several men have been blessed and released. Theses classed helps the men to think about real life and how we can change our life when we are determine to set our destiny according to the Word of God. (During COVID-19 we provided Recorded: Sermons, Scriptural Readings, Prayers, Gospel Music & Poetry)

 

DOC - CTF, every 1st & 4th Wednesday's 6:30pm - 8:00pm & 3rd Sunday 12:30pm - 2:00pm (Women). (Due to COVID-19 Pending)

 

Testimony: One of the men shared that he as been locked up for over 30 years and during that time they didn't have DEA, so the charges that they give him, could not be found, but he stated that he knows that one day the Lord will deliver him and he will get out and help other men. He shared since he as been incarcerated, he found the need to teach other men about the Bible, because he knows that this is the only way to survive.

 

We are communicating with several men and women that are now presently in Federal Prisons around the country. We are developing a Training that they can complete and mail in for Credits.

 

Hospital Visitation: Upon the request of the families, we are visiting patients at the Capitol Hill Nursing Center. We visit patients daily, upon request. (Due to COVID19 Pending)

Library of Peace for Homeless Men Shelters in DC - Covenant House of Greater Washington, DC June 2021 will be our Grand Opening:

Our goal is to establish a quite place when men can read, think and utilize this space for healing and to help to move forward with there lives. We understand for all of the services that we have provided for the homeless men is sometimes, they have to go to a shelter just for peace. We want the Library to be a blessing to them.

 

Senior Services: Carroll Manor Rehab. Center, 1st Saturday, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Sundays, Thomas Circle Rehab Center, 2nd & 3rd Sundays & Brookdale Woodard Estates, every Sunday. Holy Communion is served. (Due to COVID-19 Virtually)

 

Homeless Shelter: Mitch Snyder Homeless Shelter: 3rd Saturday at 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Holy Communion is served. (Due to COVID-19 Viritually)
